Karen Boyle: Founder
Karen Boyle brings over 15 years of experience from a variety of corporate, government, and educational settings. She has worked with large companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Arthur Andersen, 3M, BF Goodrich, Mitsubishi, Ameriquest, Petco and Sempra, to name a few. She has experience in a wide array of industries including, software, accounting/finance, telecommunications, aerospace, neuroscience research, mortgage, travel and retail. Karen has equal experience as a full-time employee in the learning and development/training industry and as a contractor running a successful eLearning development practice, so she understands the benefits and challenges of each situation.
Karen has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State University, and she is an active member of ISPI and ASTD. She has been on the Steering Committee for ASTD's award-winning Mentor Program in 2008 & 2009. She was also selected to participate on the 2009 ASTD International Conference and Expo Program Advisory Committee, as an eLearning Track advisor.
Karen enjoys giving back to her community and empowering entrepreneurs through microlending programs including the Foundation For Women, Kiva, and Global Giving. She has also been a big sister in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and helped beautify San Diego through the People for Trees organization.
